Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you become a child of the Most High God. You instantly have an Everlasting Father! Think about that word everlasting. That means that before the beginning of time, the Father was there. He was waiting for you to accept Him and become a child of His. And I can only imagine that He was excited and anticipating that day, just like a father would anticipate the birth of his child in the natural. I can imagine He would think everyday, “Is it today?” I don't know what your experience has been with your earthly father, but God is a good and perfect Father. He loves you with an everlasting love. He loves everything about you so much that He notices when a single hair falls from your head. He accepts you just the way you are, and He loves you enough to guide you and work His character in you. And, He will be your Father from now until eternity! He will never leave you nor forsake you! Thank Him today for being your Everlasting Father!

A Prayer for Today

Everlasting Father, thank You for loving me today and for always being with me. Help me to understand Your love more so that I may know You better. Let Your love flow through me so that others may see Your goodness and come to know You as their Father also. I bless You today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

When Jesus sent His Son to the earth, He opened the door of salvation to whosoever would believe. That means, anyone can become a child of His and have everlasting life! Aren't you glad He didn't just come to save certain kinds of people? Aren't you glad He didn't have a bunch of rules and conditions for salvation? Before Jesus came, people had to observe many laws in order to be holy enough to go into the temple. They were constantly performing sacrifices to pay for their sins just so they could be around the presence of God. And even then, their sins were only covered up. But when Jesus came, He was the final sacrifice. And His blood didn't just cover our sins, it washed us clean. Now, instead of just going to the temple to be near God, the Bible says we are the temple, and He chooses to live inside of us. Thank Him today for His mercy and for extending the gift of salvation to whosoever. As we celebrate Christmas together, remember, that Jesus is the ultimate gift. Do you receive Him today? If you've never asked Him into your life, there's no better time than right now.

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son Jesus into this earth so that I can be free. Thank You for opening the door to eternal life. I accept the sacrifice Jesus paid. Come into my heart. I make You my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

God desires that you be blessed and prosperous. He desires that you be so blessed that you can turn around and be a blessing everywhere you go! He wants you to have so much peace, so much joy, so much victory that when other people get around you it spills over onto them! In the book of Psalms, David said, “My cup runs over.” He was overflowing with the anointing—the tangible, effective power of God. Don't let yourself have a barely-get-by-mentality. Jesus came so that you can live an abundant life! That means an abundance of joy, an abundance of peace, an abundance of health, an abundance of finances. You may not see it right now, and maybe you haven't experienced it in the past, but don't get complacent and just settle for where you are. Get a vision for your future! Get a vision for increase! Get a vision for abundance!” God delights to see you prosperous and successful. When you choose to think God's thoughts and choose God's way, you'll see that increase and victory in every area of your life!

Father in Heaven, thank you for delighting in my prosperity. Thank You for the blessings You have in store for me. Help my thoughts to be agreeable to Your will. Help me develop a vision for the abundant life You have in store so that I can be a blessing to those around me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

God has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill your destiny through His Word! The Scripture tells us that as believers in Jesus Christ, we are anointed. The word “anointing” is the power of God which gives you courage, strength, and ability. That means you are well able to do what He has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You have the ideas, the creativity, and talent to be successful. You can overcome any obstacle! You've been armed with strength for every battle! The forces that are with you are greater than the forces that are against you! Not only has God equipped you, but He is also working on your behalf. He has already lined up the right people to come across your path. He's already lined up the right breaks. You have everything you need to live a victorious life. You were created to excel! You have seeds of greatness on the inside of you. You may not have seen it in the past, but if you'll stay in faith, it's just a matter of time. It's on its way. Don't settle where you are. Don't have a weak, defeated mentality. Have the attitude, “I am anointed. I can accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle. I am equipped and empowered by the Creator of the universe! I am able to live the abundant life God has in store!”

Heavenly Father, thank You for equipping me. Thank You for empowering me. Help me stay focused on Your Word and Your plan for me today. Help me understand Your anointing so that I can do all you've called me to do. I bless You today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
